Tools and Measures
We use many tools to collect artifacts of student learning. Below is a list of some of the tools we use:

- iPad and internal video/camera
- iPad applications such as ShowMe, MyStory, StoryRobe, VoiceThread, and more

- STUDENT GOAL SETTING: initial goal setting for language levels done by student (start of school year), using WIDA Can Do Descriptors
- FORMATIVE ASSESSMENT: of student speech and writing, and content comprehension (artifacts collected >2x/month)
- SELF-EVALUATION: student self-reflection on speech and writing (1x/month)
- INFORMAL MEASURES: informal recordings of small group interactions on task-based, oral interations
- end-of-unit SUMMATIVE ARTIFACT to measure language production and synthesis and application of content (4-5x/year)
- WIDA ACCESS (administered in February, scores received in late spring)
- WIDA MODEL: formative assessment of speaking, writing, reading, and listening in fall, winter, and spring
